Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

If you or your partner work for an employer that is in EAP you can access free professional advice regarding a variety of issues (e.g. counselling, legal, careers) including financial. Most large corporate and government employers, and some smaller ones are in EAP. You would have likely been informed of this when you were inducted, and there would likely be advertising information on your Intranet. The services offered will include Budgeting, Hardship Applications and Financial Planning/Coaching tailored to meet your goals.

 

Financial Mentors / Budget Advisors

These companies give you advice on Independent Financial Coaching and Planning, where their focus is helping you to develop good habits and provide for your future goals. They are all independent, which means they don’t sell products or take commissions, they only get their money from your fees or other funding
